The Minnesota Wing is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. All of the restoration and preservation efforts, as well as all of the flight and airshow activities are done by volunteers who give of their time, expertise and resources of all kinds.

Without the dedicated efforts and contributions of our members and volunteers, the Minnesota Wing could never have accomplished any of what it has set out to do. Membership and volunteering can be a rewarding experience where you can become involved in every aspect of the Wing’s operation from museum support to working on the vintage vehicles to aircraft maintenance and operation. Volunteers get many opportunities, such as the ability to fly on board the aircraft and attend airshows as a crew member.

You do not need to be a pilot or mechanic to join, nor do you need to have any military background. All you need is a desire to preserve these great pieces of history and the stories of the men and women who built, serviced and flew them.

Becoming a member is easy. First, become a national member, or “Colonel”, and through that enjoy all of the benefits of full membership in the CAF. You may then affiliate with as many (or as few) Units, Squadrons or Detachments which are located throughout the U.S. and the world.

Once you have completed your application for CAF membership, you can affiliate with the Minnesota Wing and immediately become a part of the first CAF Unit created, and become involved with the most dedicated group of men and women dedicated to historical preservation that you will find anywhere.Full (Colonel) membership is open to any adult aged 18 years or older. Cadet memberships are available to younger volunteers and students. And remember: your membership dues are tax-deductible contributions!
